Guide to Mapping Clarity Fields to MSP

When a project schedule is opened from Clarity to Microsoft Project, specific fields from Clarity are “mapped” to specific fields in Microsoft Project. This allows the Project Manager to view and update the same project data in both Clarity and Microsoft Project.

Most fields, that are common between the two applications, have been identified and mapped in the default mapping. For example, the Clarity “Project Start Date” has been mapped to the MS Project “Start Date”. Even though most fields have been mapped, there may be a need to create additional mappings to allow project managers to update custom Clarity fields in Microsoft Project and then save those updates back to Clarity.
